"[Jennifer] started working for me when I was in the middle of preparing for a post-conviction relief trial... Naturally, I was worried about changing law clerks in the middle of drafting what turned out to be a trial brief of over 66 pages. Jennifer's transition, however, was smooth... Within a few weeks of hiring her, she had surpassed my previous clerk. I was pleasantly surprised at the level of efficiency and proficiency with which she managed to research and write the majority of the brief. Eventually... she was instrumental in converting this trial brief into an appellate brief... Jennifer [became] an integral part of my practice, drafting the majority of my legal documents and thereby maximizing the time I [could] spend with clients and in court... I strongly believe that she [is] an invaluable asset."

"I first met Jenn when she was a clerk for one of my former students in private practice, who at my recommendation was conducting a post conviction relief proceeding for an inmate at one of my ‘former’ facilities, challenging her First Degree murder conviction. Jenn had then just completed her 1L year, and was asked to review hundreds of pages of documents and thousands of pages of transcript, deal with and placate distraught and confused family members, identify issues in a criminal trial she did not attend, and prepare a draft of Petition and supporting brief.

Let me interject (most say I talk in footnotes) that I thought it an unreasonable request by my former student, of a 1L. The purpose with which I write here is to applaud her efforts, her diligence, her humor, her perseverance, and ultimately her result. Frankly, it was an extraordinary effort. I was impressed, which is difficult to do.

Let me add one more positive appraisal: I am not an easy taskmaster. My favorite game with my secretary of nearly 25 years, was to find a mistake. Yes, I found a couple, but not with her research, her analysis, or her issue selection.

In sum, I know you could do worse than Jenn; from what I know, I don’t think you could do

better.

" Jenn is one of the most intelligent, lucid, and amicable students I have met.  Jenn and I have worked closely on a number of research projects outside of class. She has provided invaluable research and writing. My original intent was to hire two student researchers. After only a couple of weeks, it was unnecessary to hire additional personnel as Jenn was not only able to handle all the work I gave her, but she added perceptive, new, and fresh ideas at almost every juncture.

Jenn is an exemplary person. I have spent time with her outside of the classroom, and I cannot say enough about her character and sincerity. She is extraordinarily polite and kind and gets along well with her classmates. Perhaps most importantly, she takes criticism and advice seriously and without pause.

In conclusion, Jenn is highly articulate and thorough in all her research, writing, and presentations. I have been repeatedly surprised at how regularly Jenn is able to make unique connections among complex areas of the law, formulate innovative ideas, and explain them in a clear manner – an indication that she has a strong understanding of the law and the manner in which in works. I believe she will continue to have this measure of success throughout her career. I unequivocally recommend Jenn. "
